This project is located in northern Sumatra, Indonesia, and involves the construction of an 18-meter-high concrete dam with a crest length of 70 meters. Water from the dam's reservoir is channelled through a 4-kilometer-long tunnel. The design considers the installation of a surge tank, beyond which the tunnel transitions into a 2-kilometre-long steel penstock. This penstock conveys water to the powerhouse, housing three horizontal Francis turbines utilizing a head of 216 meters with a total capacity of 35 MW.
As part of the project, new access roads to the intake, surge tank and powerhouse are designed.
